Templestowe CityGuide

Parks & Gardens

Nearby parks are regularly frequented by Templestowe residents.  For instance, Petty’s Orchard is open year around and is a great place to see a variety of animal and bird life such as ducks, grebes, and swamp hens.  The orchard itself has on display over 200 different types of apples.

Although Templestowe is a suburban area, Westerfolds Park, defies this image and is another reason why the lifestyle in the suburb of Melbourne is appreciated by the many people who live here. This park is home to a large manor house that overlooks River Red Gums as well at the Yarra River, both of which are well known landmarks in Templestowe.

One of the main reasons that people move to Templestowe is the abundance of nature and parks that they can enjoy.  There is plenty of wildlife to see in the area, including cockatoos, koalas, bats, wombats, and parrots.
