Too many French style homes being built in Canterbury

Developers seem to be building nothing but French provincial style houses these days. Everywhere you look they are the same - pitched slate style roofs, rendered, wrought iron on the facade.

I know we dont want a repeat of the 1980's where the style dated quickly but this might be overkill.

What do you think?

I agree and it really really sucks. When will deveoplers realis tha not everyone whants the same style house.

And the lack of eaves and other shade producing and heat reducing features don't suit our climate.
