Richmond is a great place, but it really sucks as well. Here is my list of reasons why Richmond sucks.

1. Peak hour Traffic - Seriously a major pain in the ass to get home after work.
2. Fitness First Gym Victoria Gardens - It has got to the stage where it is unusable after work. Because they don't limit the number of people who can join, you have to wait for equipment, which completely stuffs up my workout.
3. The 8 billion office complex's in the works - This is going to seriously compound the above two issues as well.
4. Dodgy people - There are A LOT of dodgy people who are in Richmond, most due to the centrelink down the road i think. I know Vic Gardens has problem with these kinda people coming in stealing stuff.

I agree to some extent that richmond can feel like an absolute craphole at times, but it's much better than it used to be about 10 years. You should count your blessings that Bridge Road and Vic Gardens have brightened up the area.

the only thing I agree about is the traffic, and the occasional wierdo walking around. Other than that I love Richmond,

Hi Micheller, I guess you are right. I remember Richmond being a lot more scummy a while back, but it is definately better.

And yes there ARE a lot of freaks and weirdo's running around Richmond.

Richmond is awesome!! I walk everywhere so I don't really notice the peak hour traffic, and the office complex's that are being build really don't bother me too much, the more people the better. Ok I see your point about dodgy people, but there really aren't that many. In fact all the dodgy things about Richmond are some of the reasons I love it, like all the very dodgy Vietnamese restaurants on Vic Street!
