Hello,
Ive heard on the radio that the new Village Cinemas at Doncaster Shoppingtown are opeining tomorrow. I thought as it is being touted one of the best in the world, i was wondering if it has the new 3D screens that are all the rage in hollywood at the moment? I could not find any information on it online. Anyone know?

hey gingercatmul,
Ill be checking out the cinemas in the next week or so because they have just opened. Ill see if i can find out a little more information on the specs of the new cinemas.
I'm very excited about it all though, good to see "Shoppo" finally being finished!!

OK! So I went and saw "How to Lose Friends and Alienate People" at the new Village Cinemas at Doncaster Shoppingtown, and I must say I was extremely impressed.
The first thing I noticed was the booming sound, but i was most impressed with the projectors. They were very crisp, and not much noise at all. I forgot to ask if they were 3D capable, but I have a feeling if i asked the person selling the tickets she would have looked at me with a stoopified look on her face. As you said gingercatmul these are supposed to be Village's best cinemas they have ever made in the world (there's big sign above the entrance that says so) so I am happy they live up to the expectations. I really want to check our their new V MAX screen though, aparently that's their flagship cinema.
I HIGHLY recommend going to Doncaster Village Cinemas, if only for that "New Cinema" feel that you only get once in a blue moon, as cinemas don't open up very often at all.
The only negative is that Gold Class is $30. I almost fell backwards when the ticket lady said that. I just can't justify spending anything with a "3" in the start of the price tag on seeing a movie. But I'm sure if the right movie came out, then maybe I would...like the thrid Batman movie....oh yeah!
