Has anyone noticed the enormous new advertising TV screen that has replaced the billboards above the Kew Hotel? I noticed it walking home from work today and they can the very cool new Wall-=E trailer playing. And then I thought it's actually very distracting...and it also reminded me of Piccadilly Circus in London...and then I thought that there is going to be some accidents in the intersection because of that sign. Does anyone think it's a bit of an eyesore?

I saw it on the way home form work today. It really is a bit of an eyesore, but I like it! Better than static boards I think.
I also agree it will cause an accident one day as well :)

Ok, there have been a number of complaints on this one already and the council is looking into it now.
Seems it is in breach of terms and conditions and is being investigated!
Power to the people I say!!!

@zoewolf how do you know about the complaints? Breach of terms and conditions? What does that mean?
I think it's awesome sauce :) although they are still playing the same thing over and over on the screen and shoujld mix it up a bit.

Hi localrichy,
I called the Council! I got through to the planning dept who advised me that there were other complaints and that it was being investigated.

@zoewolf I wonder if people would have also complained about the massive billboard for a "brothel" that was there for ages a little up hill...I was pretty shocked that was there for so long, and I normally couldn't care less, but that one was pretty bad i thought.
