I've just come from Westfield Shoppingtown in Doncaster feeling very disappointed about the new "Platinum" Fitness First. Being a member of another Fitness First, I was excited that one was being put in the new Doncaster "Shoppo" which is a lot closer to where I live. I also was excited that maybe I could join another gym as my current gym is OVERCROWDED and almost impossible to use after work on weekdays.

So upon walking into the Platinum Fitness First imagine my disappointment when I find out they have NO BENCH PRESS and hardly any free weights. It's ridiculous. They have free weights only going up as far as about 10kgs, so that pretty much is useless. Don't they know that free wights are much better for you than machine weights.

The only reason I can think they would do this is keep the meat heats out. I can understand this, because that might limit the female crowd, but not even having a simple bench press is utterly stupid.

Please change your ways Fitness First Doncaster because I won't switch my membership until you do.

I do have another problem though...they have just opened up the rest of the shopping center, and Village has opened up right next door, so parking has become a bit of a pain.

What I don't like about fFitness First is that all the traffic coming down Doncaster Rd can see you working out . Not always a good look..........................................
