Traffic blocked, but well worth the shop

Burke Road in Camberwell would have to be considered the lifeline of the suburb containing most of the shops that Camerbwell has to offer such as JB-HiFi, Safeway, EBGames, Borders etc. Burke Road in Camerbwell has something for everyone, with great restauratns like Georges, Sophia's Pizza and Past...

Tree lined street, mansions and units

A mix of newer homes being developed and older Edwardians, Fermanagh Rd is dominated by the tree canopy that has formed over the street. During the day, like so many streets in the area, cars are parked on both sides of the road which can make it difficult to drive down but with homes in the $1 to $...

Edwardian homes abound

Royal Crescent is home to a number of beautiful Edwardian homes, two blocks from the Camberwell Junction / Burke Road shops. Its a no through road with the train line crossing at the end of the street (covered by trees, no visible trains). During the day there are lots of cars parked in the street w...

Small thoroughfare - cars during the day.

Craig Avenue can best be described a small thoroughfare connecting Prospect Hill Road with Royal Crescent. The street is dominated by a large white mansion on the corner of Prospect Hill that runs the length of Craig Avenue. During the day expect lots of cars parked either side of the road, being a...

Nice quiet street walking distance to Burke Road Shopping centre

Tallis Close is a small developed street. All of the houses share the same design with red brick Victorian style, garage, no fencing and a single way no through road. Two huge palm trees guard the entry to this convenient location. I would suggest this is highly popular with retirees.

Stanhope Grove the connection between Canterbury and Camberwell

Stanhope Grove is how many of the locals travel between Canterbury and the shops at Camberwell/Burke Road. (or keep going to connect to RIversdale and Toorak Roads). Given this, you are guaranteed considerable traffic, however on the positive side it is home to some of the cities finest homes. (on l...

We love the community

Our Street is a little more modest than some of our rivals but it offers everything we need. We have a beautiful park opposite, tennis courts and great schools all nearby. Our older kids are totally independant as the public transport is fantastic. We do have the train line behind us but as its a br...

Awesome street

Spencer Road is an awesome street - there's a cafe down one end (right near Riversdale Road), the big park and tennis courts, two train stations within a 5 minute walk, trams at the end of the street, milkbar in the middle of the street, nice neighbours, nice houses - it's a perfect street!!

The...

Traffice nightmare!

Seymour Grove is a nice street. When you take out the peak hour traffic that is.

As far as a place to live, it's all got very nice houses, but it's pretty much a main road during all hours. People use this street as a cut through from burke road and taronga road to head through to camberwell ro...

1 person have found this review helpful.
0 people found this review not helpful.

Very pretty street

Sunnyside looks like a really nice street to live in. It's full of old californian bungalows, most of which have been either restored or kept in great condition. It's a beautiful street to walk down and provided you are far enough away from burke road, a very quiet one too. There are plenty of ne...
