"Peaceful, quiet, close to nature yet not far from public transport and shopping centers"

We have lived in Thornleigh for over 2 years now. We enjoyed every second of it. It's quiet, close to parks and national park and most importantly we have lovely neighbours. Most of the houses are owner occupied and many of our neighbours have been living there for over 20 years. The only negative issue is the traffic in Pennant Hills Road in the rush hours.
Pros
  • Affordable
  • Clean and close to nature
  • Good for young families
  • Easy access to many parks/tennis courts/outdoor activities
  • Fantastic schools
Cons
  • Pennant Hills Road
  • Trucks clogging up Pennant Hills Road

"Tranquil Oasis - Neighbourhood in the old style!!"

We moved to Thornleigh 5 years ago after living in the Northern Beaches for many years. Ok so there is no beach but within 20 minutes I can be in the city or half way to the Central Coast. We are surrounded by bush and parks, both state and national. Lots space (ovals, playgrounds), open sky (if you peer around all the gum trees). Every school in the area is FANTASTIC. Neither of us ever thought we would find country town Australia here in the suburbs of Sydney

"Thornleigh - quiet, safe and secure living"

I've lived in Thornleigh for over a year and love it. It's great for getting away from your long working day to settle in with the views and close location of Berowra Valley Regional Park. All add to the ambiance of this hideaway. Lorrikeets and red king parrots are abundant for the bird watchers.
