StreetAdvisor is now giving credit (or as we call it "StreetCred") where credit is due. Now, when people visit any street or city on StreetAdvisor, we will be highlighting the Local Experts, our members that know the most about where you might want to live.
Local Expert status is awarded to those that have made the most valuable contributions in a city or town.
Benefits of being the Local Expert
Generate leads for your business! As a real estate agent, lender, local contractor local expert status gives you free exposure to people looking for property or services in your area. The more you know about a city, the more you will be seen.
Generate traffic to your website, or local blog – as the undisputed champion of your neighborhood your website will be highly visible (you add it to your profile). If someone is looking for information on San Francisco and you are the clear expert, they may just check out your site.

How are Local Experts Ranked?
A member's total point score does not necessarily place them as the Local Expert in a designated City. The location of a contribution is the determining factor. A person with 100 contributions across 100 different cities will not rank as high as a person with 10 contributions in a single city.
A member's total contribution to the StreetAdvisor site can be measured in total points earned, which is then graded on a scale from 1-5.
