Even though it's changed in the 4+ years we've lived here, Beacon Hill is still seemingly undiscovered between Georgetown and Mt. Baker. We could use some more small retail, and definitely some places to eat/drink, but it's a quick drop down the hill to Georgetown, the ID or up to Central/Cap Hill....

Wenatchee is a wonderful little town. its small enough for the little town feeling but just big enough to give you all the stuff you want. Theres no compilcated highways mixing with small towns. No big gang bangen action (some gangs but we have never had a problem, and there not dangerous).

Something for everyone, but you're gonna pay for it.

I highly recommend traveling down this street when in town. Many great places to sopt and eat at. There are also parts that you can stop at and walk out to the water. It is very nice and looks great at sunrise or sunset. I could gaze off ino that distance for a long time.

This street runs along the West Seattle Golf Club. This club has very pretty grounds and lots of pretty scenery. You can also find some camping grounds the south side of the course. We stopped by and checked them out. Seemed like a nice place to stop and set up camp for the night.

This is a pretty drive that looks onto the north side of the ocean. You can find Alki Beach located off of this road. Off in the distance you can watch the Seattle Bremerton Ferry shuttle passengers back and forth from land to island. Very pretty drive all year with plenty to look at.

great view of the lake
grocery stores are close
many people actually use the street to excercise

the cons are that the bus stop aren't as close as a student would like them to be
the waste management ferries/port or something is a few blocks...

I lived here in an apartment/unit for around a year. The area was lovely actually - it had some greenery (trees) where most of the nearby areas did not. The neighbors were friendly in passing, but mostly kept to themselves.

This is an incredible area that will be worth a fortune in no time at all. There are some great restaurants, tremendous nightlife and a real sense of community. Back in the 80's and 90's this was a rough area and it is doing more than making a comeback. Please check it out!
